Process Simulation
Simulating a proposed business process requires focused and dedicated resources. The value of the simulation step is that it validates assumptions while uncovering critical elements that may have been overlooked during the analysis stage.
TML Business Services' Simulation Methodology
When I lead simulation sessions, the following are usually part of the outcome:
Related processes are discovered - These are added to the requirements document and scheduled for further analysis
Workflow processes are modified - Unnecessary tasks are removed or combined with other tasks to streamline the process. Decision points or communication protocols are added to the tasks
Roles and responsibilities are further defined - As the process of re-engineering the business process takes hold, hidden savings in time or cost are identified when responsibilities are placed with departments or staff that would provide the greatest value from performing them.
The simulation step encompasses the the analysis step. We repeat this portion of the procedure until you feel that the process or configuration documents accurately reflect your vision of the future.
