TML's Business Consulting Project Methodology (TIM)
Designed With Your Business in Mind

TML has found that no two projects are the same; however, delivering the correct results, on time, and within budget are essential. To help your project achieve these results, TML applies standards promoted by the Project Management Institute in developing a project methodology that fits your businesses unique needs. TML's project methodology (TIM) is used as an outline to ensure your project maintains the highest level of quality when completed.

Stage 1 - Discover - During this phase I perform a project assessment, define the high level scope of the project, interview stakeholders, identify and doucment high level risks, assumptions, and constraints, and then develop and obtain approval of the project charter and statement of work.

Stage 2 - Define - During the definition phase, TML carefully documents every process currently being employed and the business rules behind these processes. In conjunction with process mapping, TML will also benchmark your current production data. This sets the basis for measuring the level of improvement and setting realistic goals for the process or business unit.

Stage 3 - Develop - During this phase, I will work with your team to develop the processes to be implemented. Deliverables that normally result from this activity can be detailed drawings of the new layout, workflow diagrams, parts lists, schedules, phased implementation and testing schedules, and documentation requirements.

Stage 4 - Implement - Depending on the scope of the engagement, TML will either conduct a phased implementation, or a full implementation. A phased implementation allows the customer to validate assumptions. It also helps to provide insight into any risks that might occur that were not previously identified, allowing time to mitigate them without affecting the entire operation.

Stage 5 - Measure - After we have put the new process into production, measurements need to be taken to determine where adjustments should be made. Once these adjustments are made, the process is repeated over a short period of time to optimize it.

Stage 6 - Train - TML employs an apprenticeship model to all engagements. This ensures that your team will be able to sustain the improvements after project completion. To help your staff gain experience and understanding, TML can provide training to personnel who were not directly involved in the implementation process.
