The Build Stage - Putting the Automation in Accela's Software
The third stage in TML Business Services' Accela Project Methodology is the build stage.
The Build stage is often confused with the Prototyping stage; however, the scope of this stage is far greater. In this stage I work with your technical team to build out the programming required to test the base functionality of your system. You can think of base functionality as the core of your program, done before you add parent/child scripting or interfaces, or produce reports and other documents.
Here are some examples of the technical work that is directed by TML during this stage.
EMSE Scripting - This scripting is used to automate software programs. EMSE stands for Event Management Scripting Engine. Most web-based software programs that employ middle-ware and an SQL or Oracle database have master scripts that are able to be leveraged with suplemental java-script based coding. These can be compared with stored procedures in a server-node environment. EMSE Scripting is most commonly used to automate the assessment of fees, sending of emails, closing workflow tasks, and auto-generating of reports when a task is accomplished.
Console Configuration and Assignment - Many departments find that they require different console configurations to make the task of managing their applications easier. This work is completed during the build stage in preparation for Base User Acceptance Testing and is assigned based on the departments specified in the configuration document.
There are many other setup activities that may be required, depending on your particular project. Working closely together, we will ensure that all of the items identified during the Discovery stage as critical to the testing process are completed. Once the build stage is completed, the testing process can begin. This starts with
Base User Acceptance Testing where we test the core of your new system. If you want to learn more about TML's
