What Makes TML Different?

I am often asked what makes my consultation different. My response comes directly from what my customers have said to me or about me. Todd Christofferson wrote the following in a LinkedIn recommendation, "I admire his pragmatism and ability to work with people on any level." A demonstration of this came later from a customer who works for the City of Madison, Wisconsin. She said the following to me, "I wanted to stop by and thank you for working so closely with us. My coworker was very nervous about it when we went into our testing session, and you took such a great approach with him. We had been worried that he would retire over this project, and at the end of the day he told me that it went really well and he thinks he can do this. So, again, thank you so much for helping us get where we are today."

To sum it up, what makes TML different is my dedication to my customer's business and the focused, personal attention I give every member of my customer's company. I am often on the phone, responding to a text, sending an email, or updating a client well after normal business hours. You take your business seriously, and so do I.

Overview

I am an operations specialist who helps business and government agencies achieve their long-term goals of controlling costs while providing high levels of service. As an operations specialist, I look for opportunities to leverage company intelligence to improve workflow and incorporates an apprenticeship model in all of my engagements.

I have over 30 years of experience in the following key areas:

I offer a solid background in helping companies and government agencies achieve operational improvements through the application of lean operations principles, and leveraging software applications to achieve operational excellence. Unlike many management consultants whose practices are more generalist in nature, I specialize in operations management, where the plans made by senior management get put into action. This specialization has proved valuable to my clients who have hired me to assist with software implementations of various types, business unit development, customer service operations improvements, warehouse performance improvement, and many other projects.

BACKGROUND

TML Business Services grew out of multiple requests from managers and business owners for help with their business operations. It was formed in 1998 and incorporated as an LLC in 2008, and has helped both businesses and government agencies meet their strategic objectives. My specialty is solving specific operational problems with practical, measurable solutions while helping companies chart a path to future growth. People hire me because I am as passionate about their business as they are, and I provide a level of personal service that is not found in today's consulting companies.

Befor starting my consulting career, I had been one of the founding managers of a third-party contract administration and logistics company, and spent more than 10 years building this operation that realized regional revenues of $35m+ annually during a down economy. I was a senior manager overseeing the operations of 17 facilities in the Western United States. After the company was sold I began consulting in order to help others achieve that same success. As the business grew I formed TML Business Services LLC to better serve my customers.
